Shannon Lu has worked in creative industries for over 15years and when has an unerring sense for timeless relevance. Her personal aesthetics have always drawn her toward the world of retro fashion and interior design. In 2005 she participated in a collaborative venture to pioneer the elevation of “second-hand” to the status of art object. For the last 10years she has been developing her own venture: InRetro. Sourcing choice pieces of original furniture from 1950’s and 60’s Europe for an increasingly savvy set of design conscious Beijingers.   

The InRetro universe is a combination of slick modern lines, classic funk patterns and an old-world sense of materiality.  Shannon admire and stocks pieces from such designers as Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen, Kai Kristiansen, Eames, Charles & Ray, Arne Vodder etc. also stock lesser known pieces crafted by elite danish cabinetmakers and showcase scandinavian functionality and appearance.

Rental and Sourcing

InRetro has many 20th century modern items available for rental as props for film sets, ads, model photo shoots, etc, including furniture, electronics, artwork, lighting, decorative arts, dinnerware, etc... We can even help you choose locations, homes, and specific scenes, throughout the Beijing area and even in other cities. See something on our site or our shop that interests you?
